Spiritual Psychology

Where evidence-based science meets the spiritual and transcendent dimensions of human experience.

Spiritual psychology, also known as transpersonal psychology, integrates spiritual and transcendent human experiences within the framework of modern psychology.

My work brings spiritual psychology together with my clinical and medical background in mental health, neuroscience, cognitive behavioral principles, physiologic self-regulation, and coherence practices.

This integrated approach helps us understand what is happening mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually—without reducing every experience to a diagnosis or treating every emotional response as a spiritual message.

Part One

The Science

Evidence-based psychological and clinical approaches help us understand how thoughts, emotions, brain processes, and physiologic responses influence one another.

This foundation includes

  • Cognitive behavioral principles
  • The ABC Model
  • Cognitive distortions and recurring thought patterns
  • The neuroscience of emotion, attention, and behavior
  • Physiologic responses to stress and emotional activation
  • Heart-brain coherence and self-regulation
  • Emotional resilience and behavioral change
  • The ability to pause, evaluate, and make a more conscious choice

Part Two

Spiritual Psychology

Spiritual psychology expands the conversation to include the deeper and transcendent dimensions of human experience.

This perspective makes room for

  • Consciousness and transcendent experiences
  • Meaning and purpose
  • Inner wisdom and intuition
  • Spiritual growth and development
  • Personal values and alignment
  • The relationship between emotional healing and spiritual awakening
  • The integration of psychological and spiritual experience

The Integration

Bringing the Two Together

Science helps us understand the patterns shaping our thoughts, emotions, brain processes, physiologic responses, and behavior. Spiritual psychology helps us explore the larger meaning and developmental context in which those patterns are occurring.

Together, they offer a grounded way to recognize what is happening within you, understand the different layers of your experience, and respond with greater clarity, resilience, and conscious choice.

You do not have to choose between psychological science and spiritual understanding. Both can help you listen more closely to what your experience is revealing.
