About Sonia

I spent more than two decades studying the mind, the body, and the ways people heal. Spiritual psychology helped me understand the deeper story.

Science and Soul, Together

I'm Sonia Luckey, DNP.

My doctorate is in Nursing Practice, and I am dual board-certified as both a psychiatric and family nurse practitioner. I am also a former associate dean, spiritual fiction author, and graduate of the University of Santa Monica, where I earned a master's degree in Spiritual Psychology.

Throughout my clinical and academic career, I became increasingly interested in the questions professional training alone could not fully answer: What happens when a life that looks successful no longer feels true? How do we recognize awakening without pathologizing it? And how do we bring what the soul knows into the life we are already living?

My work grew from the understanding that women navigating profound inner change need both psychological insight and spiritual context. They need language for what is happening, grounded tools for integration, and support that strengthens, not replaces, their own discernment.

Where the work led

Those questions changed the direction of my work.

I wrote The Seventh Gate, a novel of awakening and inner power, because sometimes stories can reach places in us that explanation alone cannot. Through Sophia's journey, readers can recognize experiences that may be difficult to name in their own lives.

I also began developing a body of Spiritual Psychology work to help women recognize the emotional and psychological signals of awakening, understand what those signals may be revealing, and integrate their inner knowing into everyday life.

The two pathways are different, but they serve the same purpose: helping women bring more of who they truly are into the lives they have already built. My background allows me to hold the nervous system and the sacred, the science and the soul, without asking anyone to choose between them.

Who This Work Is For

Women who have built capable, meaningful lives—and are beginning to sense that competence alone is no longer enough.

They may be professionals, leaders, caregivers, creators, or women in transition. They are thoughtful, spiritually aware, and often highly sensitive. They are accustomed to being the ones other people rely on. Yet when their own inner world begins to change, they may not have language for what is happening or a place where psychological understanding and spiritual truth can coexist.

They may be navigating changes in relationships, identity, purpose, emotional sensitivity, or the growing recognition that their outer life no longer reflects the fullness of who they are becoming.

If this is you, you are not too much or too complicated. Your experience is valid. Awakening can be understood, supported, and integrated, and you do not have to make sense of it alone.

How I Hold This Work

Three principles guide everything I create, teach, and offer.

I

The whole person matters.

Emotional, psychological, physical, relational, and spiritual experiences are not separate compartments. They influence one another. Awakening does not happen outside ordinary life. It moves through the body, relationships, choices, and responsibilities of being human.

II

Emotions are meaningful.

Feelings are not failures to overcome. They are signals that can help us recognize what needs attention, what no longer fits, and what the soul may be asking us to see. The goal is not to bypass difficult emotions, but to meet them with compassion, curiosity, and grounded support.

III

Your inner authority remains your own.

I do not believe a guide should tell you what your soul means or replace your discernment with theirs. My role is to offer language, perspective, and practical tools that help you hear yourself more clearly and make choices with greater coherence and self-trust.

Where to Begin

Both are meaningful ways into this work.

Some women first recognize themselves through story. Others are ready for language, reflection, and practical ways to understand what they are experiencing.

Begin with the Story

The Seventh Gate offers a fictional journey through the emotional, psychological, and spiritual thresholds of awakening.

Begin with the Science

Begin learning how your emotions can help you recognize what is changing, understand what your inner life may be revealing, and respond with greater clarity and self-trust.

Where the Journey Can Lead

As the work deepens, Soul Sourced Studio will offer an ongoing space for reflection, practice, community, and integration. For women ready for a more intimate and highly supported experience, ASCEND offers deeper transformational mentorship.

Choose Your Starting Point

Begin where you are met.

Begin with a story that helps you recognize yourself, or with spiritual psychology that helps you understand what is awakening within you.
